We just binged on a great Japanese series on Netflix called Midnight Diner. It's pretty accurate about life in Shinjuku, even if the exterior isn't from Golden Gai. Totally recommend, and I don't watch that much TV.

Four episodes into Y, the Last Man and I'm not feeling it. The story is necessarily slow in building, and I'm fine with that, but there's been an utter lack of tension so far. By episode four, the window for grabbing the curious but not yet hooked closes rapidly.

Ive seen the first 3. The son of Diane Lane's character is pretty fucking annoying. The best part so far was the lady blowing up nazis in the first episode.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Sep 2021, 12:15pmFour episodes into Y, the Last Man and I'm not feeling it. Hate might be too strong; frustration is what they should be going for. 355 has a line in episode 4 to that end, that as a man he's grown up expecting attention, of being important just because he has a dick, and now that he really is the most important man, he's proving he's a putz.revbob wrote: ↑22 Sep 2021, 8:28amSo Im supposed to hate him got it.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑22 Sep 2021, 6:13amYorrick is supposed to be immature and a fuck-up, so they did get that very right.revbob wrote: ↑21 Sep 2021, 11:42pmIve seen the first 3.
