The show does show how bleak and cold it can be there. I was freezing just watching it at times.
To be fair, summer can be nasty, too. May and September are usually pretty good, tho.
I don't envy you with the low temperatures. But the landscape sure looks stunning.
Its a huge swath of land so depending on where it takes place. Im about an hour or so from the border and our weather seems similar to Doc's. Winter is undeniably harsh but summer is great it could only be better if we were on the ocean.
Filmed in North Bay, Northern Ontario and Sudbury, Ontario.
I've only been out there a few times, but it's bleak. But Sudbury is the subject of a great Stompin' Tom Connors song.

We just discovered a new four-part documentary, The Reagans. So far, Ron Reagan, Jr., has been fantastic for his loving demythologizing of his dad. I can't recall the exact phrase, but he describes his dad's turn to the right as being low-effort kind of thinking.

Wife and I have been digging Angie Tribeca on HULU, with Rachida Jones that ran 4 seasons on TBS a few years ago. If you like the humor of AIRPLANE! and NAKED GUN, that's the type. Most characters have joke names like Jay Geils, Wilson Phillips, Diane Duran, etc. I recommend.

I started watching that at one point, wasn't sure how much was funny and how much Rachida Jones is just a feast for the eyes.

I've been completely addicted to Britbox since I got it last year. I had no idea how interested I'd be in British detective shows and courtroom dramas. Really weird.

Out of desperation for something light and funny, I started watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I didn't like it at first, but it's really growing on me.
