Thatcher was evil but surely she doesn't deserve those friends.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Doing some reading on the far right, and I'd forgotten this little gem from Margaret Thatcher on Enoch Powell's "Rivers of Blood" speech:

"[Powell] made a valid argument, if in sometimes regrettable terms."

What a wretched monster.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Part of a habit of people saying horrible things then saying they regret the words … but never the ideas.

...and once blackmailed John Lee Hooker into performing with him. John Lee Hooker who appeared in Blues Brothers. Directed by sadistic helicopter triple murderer John Landis.

Clearly John Landis taught Eric Clapton how to shove his son out a window, write a hit song about it, then callously dismiss his son as forgotten.

OR...Eric Clapton taught John Landis how to kill Vic Morrow and two Vietnamese children with a helicopter and beat the rap. He has, after all, appeared on albums with both Phil Collins and Sting so we know beyond shadow of a doubt what a sick fuck we're dealing with.

Poor John Lee Hooker.

The decapitated Vietnamese child laborers may beg to differ.

(Probably Landis' decapitated Vietnamese child laborers too. :fuck: )
