I received an email from Amazon informing (a) the anniversary of your date of manufacture is impending and (b) I should buy something for you in celebration(?). Anyone else been contacted by Flex's new buddy Bezos?

Yup. It's never happened before, so it may be new and/or it's because I ordered that Jerry Siegel book for you from your wishlist. But I'm pretty sure I've ordered stuff off people's wish list in the past but never been nudged to maybe do that again.

Their algorithms are pretty bad as evidenced by the music suggestions it gives me.

That too. My enjoyment of 70s punk does not mean I will also enjoy the Eagles, Leo Sayer, or Peter Frampton.
