"Fat Lip" by Sum 41. I have never heard it. I don't think my existence will be improved by hearing it.

I know that one, at least, and I suppose it's catchy.

Probably the best of all possible outcomes.

I got All the Small Things by Blink 182. I found them annoying when they were super popular, but have to admit their last couple of albums were decent.

Fat Lip is great, here's some other classic Sum 41 tunes.

Ok, I looked at that link and the first strike was calling it “nostalgic,” but I quit before the test when I saw a band called “long-running” that debuted in 2007. Clearly, not for me.

Sum 41 began life as a NOFX cover band. I think I need not say more.

Sum 41 was the first punk band I ever encountered whose entire fanbase of people I actually knew was People Who Were Never Part Of a Punk Scene.

Sum 41's first, pretty decent, release (half hour of power) was released on the mighty mighty bosstones' big rig records imprint (and the two bands did a split promo single together) in 2000. Fat Lip, their breakout hit, was on their second album - their major label debut - which I completely hated at the time (my younger sister got the album, lol) and still wouldn't listen to if you paid me. They played Fat Lip on the satellite radio punk station back before they dropped the station and I found it okay enough not to change the channel. That makes it a relative resounding success for me compared to most pop punk from that era.

Yeah much of this stuff is pretty awful. Green Day is about as close as I can get to any of this stuff whereby I might not shut them off if they came on the radio but I really haven't heard a "new" green day song in forever.

The newest song I heard of theirs is like a decade old and it...wasn’t good.
