I was engaged in an odd cross-country race against someone who was clearly faster and stronger than me, but he kept dicking around, which allowed me to stay ahead. We'd switch between running outside and inside various houses. When going thru the houses, I'd grab these amazing greasy cheeseburgers and chow down while running. My dream self started feeling awkward and worried about getting fat, but then realized it wasn't real and I could eat as many as I wanted. Not truly lucid dreaming, I don't think, but a certain awareness that the dream is a dream.
Sounds like someone could use a good burger.
Not if means I have to start running.

I would have bet good money that Hoy would have been the one making that joke.

I know. VH, jr. loves this movie though, so it's been on my mind lately.

I'll bet Morrissey would have a reasonable assessment of the film and its fans!

I was walking in the grass, of my old yard maybe, and the ground gave way and I sank slowly until I was chest deep in a small sinkhole. Coming from mining country, strange holes in the ground aren't uncommon, but all I kept thinking was, shit, I hope this thing doesn't get bigger. Surprisingly, I was calm about it all.

Do you think you were calm because you were aware enough that it wasn't real?

Good question.
I ask because I've become better about calming myself in most disturbing dreams by being conscious enough to tell my dream self that there's no real danger.

Just woke up after trying to kung fu kick a zombie Bruce Springsteen who had me cornered in a ship's cabin. My heel is hurting where I made contact with the bedroom wall.

Kung Fu in the car park with zombie Bruce who made his escape in a pink Cadillac?

Is this the end of Hoyston?

I dreamt I got a cramp in my calf. Wait. That wasn't a dream.

Poor, Heston. Hope you didn't hurt your heel too badly.
