More on the possibility of a gag order tomorrow: https://www.businessinsider.com/gag-ord ... tan-2023-3
It's impossible to think he won't violate it within 24 hours. Toddlers have better impulse control.

I'm surprised he hasn't pre-emptively asked his idiot support to pay the fines he will rack up.Punishment for criminal contempt, under New York law, is a fine not exceeding $1,000, jail for up to 30 days, or both.

Re: The Trump observations thread
Given what a pointless exercise a fine would be as a deterrent, it has to be jail time or nothing. But, lord, the morons will be fleeced to pay for his defence fund. Somehow these dimwits brag about how smart he must be because he's so rich but also hand over their own limited funds so that he doesn't have to spend any of his own.oliver wrote: ↑03 Apr 2023, 2:21pmDr. Medulla wrote: ↑03 Apr 2023, 12:48pmMore on the possibility of a gag order tomorrow: https://www.businessinsider.com/gag-ord ... tan-2023-3

Sorry to be "that guy" and step on a joke, but just the occasional reminder that the core of trump's support is actually (relatively) well-off shitheads: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/th ... s-support/
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup

I'm sure the majority of Republicans are better off financially then the majority of Democrats, hence all the tax cuts for large corporations that are the signature of their party.Flex wrote: ↑03 Apr 2023, 7:36pmSorry to be "that guy" and step on a joke, but just the occasional reminder that the core of trump's support is actually (relatively) well-off shitheads: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/th ... s-support/

No mugshot expected. How much of that, I wonder, is to preclude him (and, to be fair, opponents) from merchandising off the photo?

Re: The Trump observations thread
Trump found guilty of sexual assault in the civil case. Jury was super quick on that.

And of course he's already spouting off about what a "disgrace" it was and planning on appealing the verdict.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑09 May 2023, 3:41pmTrump found guilty of sexual assault in the civil case. Jury was super quick on that.

More opportunity to grift off the suckers. Cos it won't move the needle one bit for the right-wing victim constituency he represents.Sparky wrote: ↑09 May 2023, 5:22pmAnd of course he's already spouting off about what a "disgrace" it was and planning on appealing the verdict.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑09 May 2023, 3:41pmTrump found guilty of sexual assault in the civil case. Re: The Trump observations thread
Sorry, you’re right. My language was imprecise—I meant that it won’t cause a re-evaluation amongst supporters and they would turn away. They know what he is. Like with Assange, a guilty verdict—even an outright admission—doesn’t change things because their support rests on a hatred of an enemy. Trump is a vessel for that hatred, not a real person to them.JennyB wrote: ↑10 May 2023, 9:42amNope.
