Anarchism, Marxism and Radical Politics
Can someone advise me on the best Murray Bookchin book to start with?
Re: Anarchism, Marxism and Radical Politics
Post-Scarcity Anarchism and Social Anarchism or Lifestyle Anarchism are the ones I've read.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

I'm no Bookchin expert, though.

Here's where I admit I've never read Bookchin. I've only read glosses.

I was never the biggest fan. Colin Ward is the one who had the most impact on me.

Yeah. Again, only glosses, but a better choice.
EDIT: that is to say I've only read Bookchin in glosses.

That seems more of a Murray ROTHBARD sort of idea.Inder wrote: ↑12 Apr 2018, 11:29amGenuinely read this as "Murray Blockchain."Silent Majority wrote: ↑12 Apr 2018, 10:51amCan someone advise me on the best Murray Bookchin book to start with?

It occurs to me that "blockchain anarchism" is probably a thing, and it makes me want to become a tankie.

I’m so mad at this concept that you probably made up that I want to punch an An-Cap in the taint.

Re: Anarchism, Marxism and Radical Politics
The consensus is Post-Scarcity Anarchism is the major work and my preoccupations around honesteading means I've got an interest in his book about Ecology, so I'll get them on the longlist.

I've read Anarchy In Action, anything more of his that you think I'd find rewarding?
Re: Anarchism, Marxism and Radical Politics
I've read scattered other essays of his, but that book was the most important. Ward convinced me that prior sociability was logically antecedent to the state.Silent Majority wrote: ↑13 Apr 2018, 9:44amI've read Anarchy In Action, anything more of his that you think I'd find rewarding?
