I'm not sure what equivalent of jury duty is in Commonwealth nations but here in the states people will make up all kinds of bullshit to get out of it.101Walterton wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 10:17pmVery honest, plenty would not put their hand up in that situation like people who can’t help but watching a car crash.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 10:01pmGood gravy

That used to be the case in UK and definitely in NZ but it got to the point where anyone with half a brain e.g. a job got out of it. The only people left on jury service were nosey old grannies and unemployable.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 10:22pmI'm not sure what equivalent of jury duty is in Commonwealth nations but here in the states people will make up all kinds of bullshit to get out of it.101Walterton wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 10:17pmVery honest, plenty would not put their hand up in that situation like people who can’t help but watching a car crash.BostonBeaneater wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 10:01pmGood gravy
