What am I supposed to chime in on? STP had some great albums once they got over trying to be Pearl jam.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Bernie's mittens are one of the best things about 2021 so far.

Yet, to be fair, there isn't a lot of competition going. :meh:

Well yeah, I’ll admit the bar is pretty low. I guess that’s kind of my point.

On the bright side, hockey's back and I’ve started drinking again. :twitch:

Meh to the former but huzzah to the latter!

Is Biden so boring that we've gone nearly 2 years between posts?

I think it's more that we've all been seduced by the corporate imperial liberal hypnosis machine (code name: Soros).

It's more fun and playing to the crowd to make fun of trump (who is a disgusting lunatic) than to engage in either condemnation or appreciation of anything Biden does, which is guaranteed to get you a few arrows from one side or another, imho (or, maybe more likely, to just be met with the silence of the Dictator graveyard). When I was less conflict averse I might have stirred it up, but opening up to argue about joe fucking Biden is like one of the least rewarding ways I can think of spending time here.

It's also a case, I think, that given how the right has completely abandoned even the pretence of democratic ideals, Biden is that thin, deeply flawed mosquito netting that separates a continuation of a republic from an obvious autocratic regime. So, however unconsciously, there isn't a desire to add on to attacks on Biden, even if we'd be coming from a perspective of more democracy rather than less. A deeply shitty situation, but it can be so much worse.

That sums it up nicely.
