What am I supposed to chime in on? STP had some great albums once they got over trying to be Pearl jam.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Bernie's mittens are one of the best things about 2021 so far.

Well yeah, I’ll admit the bar is pretty low. I guess that’s kind of my point.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑26 Jan 2021, 7:24amYet, to be fair, there isn't a lot of competition going.Kimmelweck wrote: ↑26 Jan 2021, 1:49am

Is Biden so boring that we've gone nearly 2 years between posts?

Re: The Biden Observations Thread
It's more fun and playing to the crowd to make fun of trump (who is a disgusting lunatic) than to engage in either condemnation or appreciation of anything Biden does, which is guaranteed to get you a few arrows from one side or another, imho (or, maybe more likely, to just be met with the silence of the Dictator graveyard). When I was less conflict averse I might have stirred it up, but opening up to argue about joe fucking Biden is like one of the least rewarding ways I can think of spending time here.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑28 Dec 2023, 11:47amI think it's more that we've all been seduced by the corporate imperial liberal hypnosis machine (code name: Soros).WestwayKid wrote: ↑28 Dec 2023, 11:33amIs Biden so boring that we've gone nearly 2 years between posts?
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Re: The Biden Observations Thread
It's also a case, I think, that given how the right has completely abandoned even the pretence of democratic ideals, Biden is that thin, deeply flawed mosquito netting that separates a continuation of a republic from an obvious autocratic regime. So, however unconsciously, there isn't a desire to add on to attacks on Biden, even if we'd be coming from a perspective of more democracy rather than less. A deeply shitty situation, but it can be so much worse.Flex wrote: ↑28 Dec 2023, 11:52amIt's more fun and playing to the crowd to make fun of trump (who is a disgusting lunatic) than to engage in either condemnation or appreciation of anything Biden does, which is guaranteed to get you a few arrows from one side or another, imho (or, maybe more likely, to just be met with the silence of the Dictator graveyard).
