WW III poll
Re: WW III poll
Doesn't scare me because I believe the world is permeated by evil.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I assumed he was working on some advanced level of irony, where the rabid anti-Semites of Iran's leadership become Jews.Flex wrote:I imagine he misread "iran" as "israel" for some as-of-yet-undetermined reason. That's what I assumed anyways.eumaas wrote:Your post makes no sense.Wolter wrote:More importantly: they're Jews. Do we really want JEWS to have the bomb?revbob wrote:Because America is a responsible steward of nuclear weapons. You can rest assured that they would only use them if it was really necessary. I'm pretty sure it's in the bible. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!101Walterton wrote:Why can America have nuclear weapons but not Iran ?
And you know what happens when you assume things: often, you are correct but occasionally you are not.
P.S. score one for assumptions.

Yes and no. Obviously the nuclear boogeyman has been with me since childhood, but it remains only a possibility, whereas the far-reaching effects of climate and the close of the oil age are going to have unavoidable effects on our way of life. Perhaps in the long long term it'll be for the better, but for the foreseeable future we're living in the last of the good old days.Mimi wrote:I'm just curious: Does the thought of something like this happening scare the shit out of any of you? I made the same mistake with Hoy a couple weeks back. My error, it seems, is in assuming you bastards are more clever than you really are. Absolutely unforgivable in Hoy's case.eumaas wrote:Well, that's... charitable.Dr. Medulla wrote:I assumed he was working on some advanced level of irony, where the rabid anti-Semites of Iran's leadership become Jews.

Yeah, and there's that. Oil is going to have a more immediate affect than the continued threat of a nuclear holocaust because, like you, I've been waiting for that to happen since childhood.Dr. Medulla wrote:Yes and no. Wolter's clever but not prone to intellectually overextended jokes. We're talking about a man whose main legacy is the italicized catchphrase, and even that he cribbed off of a 16 year old eumaas.Dr. Medulla wrote:I made the same mistake with Hoy a couple weeks back. Good thing all that stuff is just bullshit spread by the liberal media and the One World government cabal of scientists. Don't forget to vote for Ron Paul!Mimi wrote:Yeah, and there's that. Yes. Effect is the noun, affect the verb. I only point out Wolter's slip ups because … well, just because.Mimi wrote:should I have used effect instead of affect? i get those confused sometimes.
