Did you see Joe Lycett yesterday morning? Very funny and clever.
Was watching it live and was a bit confused when i first heard the whooping and yelping but soon realised he was on a total piss take and it was glorious. And true to form, the bbc has already caved in to pressure:

Incandescent

Adjective.

Looking like a slapped arse.

I'm mildly amused at how this thread goes from those know nothing yanks getting us all wrong again to typical lefty academic cranks when it's pointed out the writer is, as it happens, British. Plus, if you're a self declared Thatcher acolyte, i don't see Powell admiration should be all that far behind. Only difference she had the political acumen not to do the quiet bit out loud stuff.

It wouldn't surprise me it Truss called an early election, after introducing a few Saviour policies. Be totally dependent on the polling of course. If she did and won it then she would really go to town. Heaven help us.

Another time honoured tradition that needs to be stopped. How much did that cavalcade just cost the tax payer just to watch the witch arrive at No. 10.

Guys on the BBC helpfully pointing out that the sun poked its head out for Johnsons farewell speech, in which he mentioned his dog but not his wife, but it started lashing down just before Truss was due to appear. They made it sound like they'll really miss him.

And saw it mentioned somewhere that both apparently took separate private jets to Scotland to meet her maj. Just in case anyone thought net zero would be any part of her plan, didn't merit a single mention in her speech either.

I expect her first job will be to change the wallpaper in No. 10. From a nice donation from one of the big energy companies.

Sceptical me?

No, you're bang on. Last shower had the wallpaper done, of course, but did it on the cheap so first priority must be to fix that and make sure no expense spared this time round.

£840.00 a roll!
For the guy who described the £250K he got for writing a few newspaper columns as "chicken feed" and who planned to build a £150K tree house for his son, £840 a roll is mere loose change I'd say.

Edit: and especially when he's not the one paying for it!
