It's certainly very similar.
Interesting take on the traditional hammer and sickle or hoe. Replacing it with an AK-47.

Doing a quick search, the KYR logo is two years older than Burkina Faso's.
My words are more of a paradox but the similarity between the two styles is truly incredible.

side note: it seems that in the recent official reproductions of the KYR star t-shirt they have eliminated the gun from the page.
