Man's just following the way of the Borgias. 500 years ago, they would have made him Pope
A Blackamoore?! Are you also in league with Satan?

No that was Dio's influence but I wouldn't call him satanic either but yeahback in the 80s everything was potentially Satanic.

When I did my lecture on heavy metal and the Satanic panic of the 80s, a lot of students' mouths were agape at the lunacy of the claims. Clearly this was shit they'd never heard before. I made a point of saying it's part of the same playbook that had blamed Catholics, Jews, and Communists at various points in the past, and now is blaming queer and liberal "groomers." Same shit over and over, just the villain changes a bit. It reminds me of Cleese's line in Life of Brian in asserting that Brian is the true Messiah: "I should know, I've followed a few!"

How incredible would a low budget 1970s grindhouse film called Black Pope have been?

Yup, nothing will make a person sleepy better than thinking about Jesus.
