Buy guns and learn to use them. The Nazis are coming.
I'm more of a first-waver. I'm not too interested in just trying to "survive," so I hope I go out early.

1/3 of Americans want fascism and they’ll get it and history will yadda yadda. I’m gonna stick to New England and wish the middle the best of luck. I was really hoping Covid would kill a whole lot more boomers and radio listeners to help our numbers.

Someone in my family said they like DeSantis. I just replied with a series of No's!

My stepmom was lamenting overturning RvW last night. She also voted for Trump, but I didn't have the heart to tell her it was her fault.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Is De Santis worse than Trump? Could De Santis be even worse than Trump?

Absolutely. He's smart and that makes him more dangerous than Trump.

I think normally you'd go for the horrible but smart alternative over the dumb, volatile loose cannon, but then i guess normal rules do not apply here.

Yeah, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto. Normal is in the rear-view mirror.

If DeSantis challenges Trump for the nomination, it's gonna be savage. No way does Trump accept that he's yesterday's man. Both of them will cry voter fraud at every primary.

Vile, nasty piece of work alright. I guess it somewhat depends which one would be more or less likely to lose to Biden in the 2024 run off, maybe we'll all have to get out a maga hat for the upcoming primary. Just on the off chance, i clicked my heels together to see if anything would happen. Didn't work.

Not sure. Does he have the phantom charisma that Trump has? Trump has a really weird, unique appeal that I don't think Desantis has.

I don't know, tbh. I'm still scratching my head over Trump's appeal.

That's a huge question for the movement (if it is, actually, a movement): does it work without Trump? Trump has a weird ability not to get rattled, instinctually turning every defeat and slip into a victory, conveying not the least bit of doubt. Few can pull that off, to be that shameless and thorough a liar.
