The Fountainhead movie is supposed to be genuinely hilarious. Especially the end.

I think I've caught about ten minutes of it on AMC or TCM. Not even Gary Cooper could hold my interest.Inder wrote:The Fountainhead movie is supposed to be genuinely hilarious. Especially the end.

Ayn Rand is like the Beats. She can be either a stepping stone to better things or an end in herself. It's the latter area where one falls into error. When somebody does get something great out of Rand, it baffles me. Chris Sciabarra's work, which is very good, leaves me befuddled. How he reads Rand that way is a mystery to me. I suspect that he is creating a Sciabarra in Rand more than deriving from her directly.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Considering the meaning I find in old Metal Men comics, that's very possible.eumaas wrote:Ayn Rand is like the Beats. She can be either a stepping stone to better things or an end in herself. The other day, a car in front of me had a John Galt University license plate frame. I wanted to rear end him.

I'm thinking clip the "I am Malcolm X" bit from the end of Spike Lee's film and dub over Nelson Mandela's voice.Rat Patrol wrote:http://alicublog.blogspot.com/2011_03_2 ... 5235115658
