I don't think so, any more than how any other addiction slowly seizes control over a person. The platform—and other social media sites—are engineered to encourage addiction and we should think of it in that manner.

The one genuine skill is shamelessly using connections to get in on other people's innovation, take credit for what succeeds, or skirt blame when it flops. Most people are haunted by stuff like a conscience and ethics to pull it off.
