Turns out the mask mandates and lock down had nothing to do with it. Who knew?

The Boss is pissed off because the university is redoing its web pages and, typically, hasn't consulted her about the look of the indigenous studies and affiliated pages, both in terms of content and imagery. With regards to the latter, it's some kind of solemn teepee in the sunset horseshit, which is, among other things, completely wrong history and geography. But, hey, injun is injun, right? Anyway, we were batting around more offensive alternatives, especially to piss off white people. I offer up my first stab:
Celebrating Our Shared History.jpg
The Boss has mused about making coffee mugs with this for around the office.

I told her to bring those out when high-level admin people come around to pay their respects.

From Pagan Kennedy's Platforms:
One of the worst pieces of propaganda was a public service announcement created by the Advertising Council, a commercial that plagued my childhood with guilt. In the commercial (as I remember it), a carload of partying people speeds down the highway; they throw a bunch of bottles out the window; their trash lands right at someone's feet; the camera then pons up the man's body and we see he's a Native American; a close-up of his face shows a tear rolling down his cheek. Seemingly the Indian doesn't mind the highway that cuts through his land or the cars that pollute his pristine sky. No, ifs those bottles and wrappers on the side of the rood that have prompted his silent crying. The commercial used to send me into paroxysms of guilt when I was a kid—after politically charged American history classes in elementary school, I was already painfully aware of my passive role in stealing land from Native Americans. The ad cleverly capitalized on this guilt, but at the same time it implied that we could right our wrongs toward Native Americans simply by refraining from pitching Coke bottles out our car windows.
