That doesn't bode well for the US in 2020...Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 11:54amMore so, he's currently charged with three counts of fraud and bribery, yet still wins election? It really is stunning what right-wing voters will tolerate in their candidates as long as they're sufficiently malicious.
Apart from right-wing voter fraud or Democratic self-sabotage (which are both legit possibilities), I continue to believe Trump's re-election task is quite difficult. That 3M vote deficit from 2016 plus an angrier opposition plus more dead Boomers and more Millennial and Z voters.matedog wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 2:07pmThat doesn't bode well for the US in 2020...Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 11:54amMore so, he's currently charged with three counts of fraud and bribery, yet still wins election? I fail to see how a guy who won by the fluke of the EC and has done nothing whatsoever to expand his voter base is in a good position to be re-elected. Absolutely nobody I've talked to has told me where he'll be getting new votes and/or how the Democrats' total will shrink.matedog wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 2:19pmSounds like it is you who are the King of Wishful Thinking.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 2:11pmApart from right-wing voter fraud or Democratic self-sabotage (which are both legit possibilities), I continue to believe Trump's re-election task is quite difficult. It's that normalization of violence for people on both sides that is so heartbreaking. It takes on a momentum of its own beyond any kind of strategy or vision.
