Re: The Ripe for Runaway Conspiracy Theory Thread
This one could have gone in the "Corona Virus Thread Of Doom" or "Future Of The Republican Party" thread or even the "Trump Observation Thread", it's just got so many different angles.
So, the results of the "Cyber Ninjas" election "audit" (I use the term very loosely) in Arizona has been delayed because the CEO and two of his five member staff now have COVID.
I mean how can this be? Every election outcome doubting Republican knows the whole COVID thing was "fake news", just like the election results, am I right?

Cyber Ninjas has no experience whatsoever in election security.
Their CEO has pushed fraud theories.
It's being paid for a tRump supporters.
Arizona election officials have publicly denounced the entire thing as a sham, and yet it goes on and on and on.

The point of this isn't to prove anything; it's to sow doubt on future elections. Keep yelling theft and supporters will believe there must be something to it—there's a pattern of it, donchaknow—and maybe it'll pay off in a future election.Sparky wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 7:18pmThere is just so much wrong with this "audit" it's hard to believe.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 6:59pmAnd hiding in the shadows, Hillary Clinton and George Soros, clutching Barrack Obama's Kenyan birth certificate.Sparky wrote: ↑23 Aug 2021, 6:04pmThis one could have gone in the "Corona Virus Thread Of Doom" or "Future Of The Republican Party" thread or even the "Trump Observation Thread", it's just got so many different angles.

Re: The Ripe for Runaway Conspiracy Theory Thread
I spent three hours yesterday in a hearing designed to "fix" non-existing voter fraud. One guy testifying spoke for 30 minutes about how the Chinese hacked the voting machines in Missouri so that Trump would lose (which, he won in MO, so how does that help his argument?). I am quoted at the bottom of the article. It gives a good glance into how batshit this state is:

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Why are the Chinese so bad at fixing elections in Red states? That's the real question, people!JennyB wrote: ↑25 Aug 2021, 9:57amI spent three hours yesterday in a hearing designed to "fix" non-existing voter fraud. Re: The Ripe for Runaway Conspiracy Theory Thread
How dispiriting for the people who are career civil servants in MO's justice department. Experienced and skilled, and they're wasting their time on this kind of bullshit. Our former neighbour is pretty high up in federal Justice, and they said the Harper years were a nightmare. They'd give their assessment of a claim, be overruled by the political hacks, and then pursue a case that results in being scolded by the judge for being nonsense.JennyB wrote: ↑25 Aug 2021, 12:00pmI mean, our atty. general is suing them for causing Covid (you heard that right.
