It looks like Warnick is putting it in the bag, The other one blows my mind. 36,000 Georgians split their vote between D and R while voting. This makes no sense to me.

Yeah that's odd. I'm checking the tracker on CNN's website. 50/50 for Ossoff with 97% in. Warnock's looking better though. Loeffler's just a tad more repugnant than Perdue I guess.

Maybe something racial/sexist to explain the difference between the two results?

Perdue has the benefit of being related (cousin I think) to Sonny Perdue who was Governor for 8 years and very popular.

Looks like Perdue is (fingers crossed) going down?? Ossoff up about 17,000 votes with 98% of the vote in. It's still within the recount margin at 0.4%...but still wow.

In looking through the county by county returns, I saw that Georgia has a "Jeff Davis" County. Might be time to consider changing that one.

And, as I understand it, the remaining votes come from Democratic-leaning areas.

A friend of mine retired recently and decided to go to Georgia to help get out the vote. He's a big numbers guy and we'd chatted about the numbers while he was home a few days for xmas before he headed back. This is what he said to me yesterday afternoon when I asked how things looked.
I say Dems by 16,000 votes. Headed to a DJ party that Black Voters Matter is doin to close down the polls
.

Let's hope this lead holds.

Absolutely hilarious if the difference were crazed Trumpists boycotting to punish the Republicans for insufficient fealty. Everyone in the party knew Trump would knife them sooner or later, yet they lacked the spine or principle to oppose him. And this is what happens.

If the US has a Dem controlled Senate, then I'm genuinely, I promise you, sincerely delighted at this horrible result. I am so happy at the rate of decline being very slightly slowed. It's the best possible news for my American friends and the world.
