Not counting airport imprisonment, it has literally been years since I've watched a news channel. The Internet has turned me completely to the written word and away from video.

Interesting article on the two suspects:
http://boston.com/metrodesk/2013/04/19/ ... story.html

Sounds like the younger one was more Americanized and seemed to have a lot of friends. The older one seems to have been more of a loner and hateful of the US. Perhaps he influenced the younger brother.

The news networks have shown consistently that they do bullshit very well, but anything demanding accuracy, whether manhunts or policy wonkery, they are utterly inept.

CNN has been utter clownshoes during this. NBC/MSNBC has aquitted itself reasonably well, from what little I've watched. The real best work have been the local newspaper reporters (even if it hasn't been a perfect track record). Shame those jobs are going evaporate in the coming years.

Fuck. Now I can't even leave the driveway because the police have put out an APB for a car the same make, model, color, and 2 of 6 license plate digits as mine.

now, let's kick it over to Sally Yellowhair, who has been standing at the same empty street in Watertown since 9am, waiting for something to happen....
"Sally?"
"thanks Bingo... as you can see, these streets are deserted and people are staying inside... back to you..."
"great job, Sally... let's toss it over to Nit Wit #2...."

Not to mention that you're a serial killer.

This is absolutely crazy. My cousin lives in Cambridge and said she heard an explosion and gunshots last night. She does tend to be prone to theatrics, but it sounds consistent with what has been happening.

How long can they realistically keep a city that large on lockdown?
