Some good news just came through - there was a bill that would eliminate marriage altogether because one legislator (one of the ones who also sponsored the anti trans bills) is so scraed of the gays getting married, that he wanted all future MO marriages to be civil unions. This would lead to elimination of any federal marriage benefits for everyone. But it just died in committee. Hopefully the other bills will too.
