Fascinating find. Thought struck me it could be refer to Iona, as in the Scottish island which isn’t far from where joes people had their roots. Green or Queen Iona? Does look more an e at the end though but maybe a possibility anyway.

Yep that's a good call. I guess the only way to find out would be to contact Julian Yewdall.Low Down Low wrote: ↑22 Oct 2018, 4:08amFascinating find. Re: NEW JOE STRUMMER ANTHOLOGY?
The letter was on the GettyImages site. I often look there for Clash/related pics I might not have seen before. I've had the pic for a few months now without really paying attention to it. Thinking the tracklisting was simply what we already knew about. I was searching for pics of Mick (for you know what) when I glanced at this again and realised there are unreleased songs on the tape. Julian Yewdall also mentioned recently that Full Moon was also held in a bank vault/deposit box the same way as this tape. I wonder how many more tapes there are.Heston wrote: ↑22 Oct 2018, 11:23amWhere did you dig it up from mate?Marky Dread wrote: ↑22 Oct 2018, 9:41amYep that's a good call. Anyone know anything of Paul Simonon being involved or planned to be at any stage?

Jus a bit easier reading it this way up.
It sure looks like Paul was to be included. As it mentions a tape dub for him to listen to.

I see Terry has changed quite a bit, looks a lot like Paul.

Re: NEW JOE STRUMMER ANTHOLOGY?
Have you got a possible Joe Strummer 002 volume tracklist?
I would like other Permanent Records songs such "Nefertititi Rock" and "Nothing about nothing" and also Earthquake outtakes like "Cholo Vest" and "Punk Rock Blues". I also remember "Divorcing Jack".

A couple of my favourites in that list (Nothing about nothing and Cholo Vest). Personally I would like to hear more unreleased stuff on the bonus CD/single/cassette. Disc 1 can have whatever helps sales and continuation of the series of releases.JoeRoberts wrote: ↑25 Nov 2018, 4:57amHave you got a possible Joe Strummer 002 volume tracklist?

Re: NEW JOE STRUMMER ANTHOLOGY?
Definitely regards to more unreleased stuff. I don't think the 001 box was value for money considering the amount of tracks included. It was better value as the 2 cd set but the extras on the big box was paltry by cimparrison.

Still, it's nice to have some of that previously released stuff all on one disc though, said the physical format guy.Marky Dread wrote: ↑25 Nov 2018, 7:52pmDefinitely regards to more unreleased stuff.
