I shall be losing all faith in humanity if GDM loses.
Your mistake was having any.
.03% ain't that much, but it was just enough to hinge on GDM.

C'mon, no shame in losing to "Coma Girl." It's only a shame that they likely won't both proceed.

Never really got the love for GDM. Coma Girl is that rare thing, a Meskies songs with a super catchy melody. And I'm a sucker for those.
GDM has a great smooth groove with Joe playing the role of prophet, delivering the news. It's hectoring Joe but delivered with Beat cool. I can't imagine Joe singing that without wearing the blackest of sunglasses on his face.
"Smooth groove' is the problem, I like songs.
Don't you smoke pot anymore? How could you dislike a smooth groove?
Yes but the groove isn't that good for me.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

How is it not a song? It has an intro, verses, prechoruses, a catchy chorus. I could go on.

You know that I love you like the twin I failed to eat in utero, but to hear you say this is mystifying. Religions have lost members over less astounding assertions.

I’m backing GDM because although it isn’t perfect I still prefer it to Gang Gang plus if it was perfect it would have been an absolute masterpiece.

We currently have a tie. I move that voting be ended immediately in the name of all that is good in the world.

Full respect to you for outing yourself as the tie-breaker. You don't want Heston as an arch-enemy, tho. :shifty:

The songwriting on these two tunes is so much tighter than anything on Global.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

It blows my mind that anyone would think GDM lacks hooks. And apocalyptic Joe is best Joe.

different modes of creating music between the two records, both excellent, imho.
