I try not to get too sentimental and soppy too often but on this anniversary I would just like to give a massive shout out to this community. The generosity and kindness and trust on here and amongst the Clash community is truly wonderful. I could give so many examples but I'm sure you all know anyway. I am proud to be a member and hopefully do my bit in the spirit of it all. This is a brilliant legacy of the band, as important as the music. Thanks Inder for maintaining it and making it all possible.
Enjoy your Strummer and Clash music today.
My normal sarcastic posts will resume in due course.

Word.
17 years, how did that happen? To think 17 years before 2002 was 1985 is mind boggling.

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I'd forgotten momentarily until listening to late night radio show the dj mentioned Joe's passing and played Sleepwalk as a tribute. Such a beautiful, melancholic song and rare choice for a radio set list. Found it extremely moving, a subtle reminder of the rich seam of treasure he left us with.
