Yay for BMC going back up, I've missed it.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Yes, nice to see BMC returning!
Going back to the thread topic, late 1999 was a great time to be a Clash fan. Joe was back with the Mescaleros, touring a fine new album, the Clash back catalogue was remastered and a long-awaited official live album was released. The music press - and regular magazines and newspapers - were full of interviews and the like promoting it all. It seemed like the Clash were everywhere.
Then the icing on the cake came along in 2000 with the marvellous Westway To The World doc.

My memory is shot to bits because i could have sworn i was listening to FHTE in 98. But no, i see it was only released within a fortnight of the first meskies album a year later. And then Westway a mere couple of months later. That's some unleashing of treasure in such a short space of time. Bliss it was in that dawn etc

It’s been many years since I last posted on here but would not the King Tuts gig 7th June 99 be the earliest known recording?

Hi Steve, welcome back, I hope all is well. BMC just says rumours of a tape for that show.
