Not sure I understand Bob Weir's appearance, but otherwise really looking forward to this.

Cool lineup. Not too much new school, but I do see Hinds (awesome female group from Spain) on there. I posted their great Spanish Bombs cover recently. I'm a little apprehensive about Bruce performing, but hopefully it'll be adequate.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Are you sure you want to set yourself such high expectations?!

Not fucking Tom Morello again, prancing about with his guitar tucked under his chin.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I thought that was Joe with Cliff Richard.

I think this is from the time the Clash and the Dead were staying at the same hotel in '84 — IIRC, there was some kind of jokey wager between each band's roadies which resulted in the Deadheads getting mohawks!

Weir is also a Clash fan in general —

Thank you! I had no idea. I love the story about the bet.
