This was the night I got backstage and met Joe. Strangely I recall little about the gig but that meeting is etched in my memory.

Saw Joe at Sheffield and Brixton in May 2000, then 5 times in Nov supporting The Who.

Not much to tell really. Me and my mates hung around at the back for autographs and were asked in with a few others. I asked some fanboy questions and Joe smoked half a joint I'd rolled. He seemed quite pleased I had some hashish. He was very gregarious, regaling us with tales from the Clash and beyond.

was this the one with Ten Benson supporting?

they were one of the worst support acts I've ever seen.
