Two versions/mixes of it, too. Interesting lyrics.
And a new version of The Road to Rock & Roll. Just a rough demo by the sounds of it, but any new Strummer track is welcome.

Enjoy!

I didn't split the tracks, so this is one MPEG-4 file.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea War Cry was a complete song with lyrics. It sounds great. I'm used to the official mixes of the Rock Art songs,
but I like this earlier version of Digging The New.

Wow, it's been some year for hidden treasures, fantastic reworkings by Gerald and high quality remasters/ art work by Marky.

Who would have thought that Clash world would have so much activity in 2021.

hey, here's a mp3 of the file sparky uploaded.
i've had a few listens and it's really interesting to hear these ones for me, also great with the vocals on war cry. i've got a yalla yalla demo that's different but i prefer the one here.

Thanks for posting it ohsoso, I can't find it on my end, I must have renamed it something I can't recall or deleted by accident.

Has anyone split the tracks up yet for this yet? I suck at it. This find was overshadowed by the Rat Patrol acetate and the Gerald Mans version of Cut the Crap. I think it helps fill the 90's gap in Joe's solo career and show us where he was at during the period just prior to the Mescaleros.

These are interesting, didn't know he invented "Acid Punk", didn't even know that was a thing, too bad it didn't take off

It is curious that a photo of Joe Strummer with Richard Norris was used for the cover of the box 002.

By the way, could someone transcribe the lyrics of the 2 versions of War cry.
thanks
