Walker Alternates & Outtakes

Post by Marky Dread »

Hi all, happy new year.

Here are some alternates and outtakes from the Walker soundtrack.

These tracks were taken from a tape kindly supplied by Steve Satch.

I've remastered and speed adjusted the tracks. Enjoy.

Verah nice-ah. Thanks as always, Marky!

Thanks for uploading this review. It's a solid review but Gavin Martin can take a stray bullet for his final comment.

I was thinking similarly that it was all good until the last line. It was 27/2/1988 so we obviously hadn't fully accepted the genius of Sandinista at that time!

Well he certainly hadn't. I loved it pretty much immediately. It totally intrigued me. Such a vast amount of music to consume, amazing.

Thanks for this MD, always been a fan of Walker so this is a treat. Wonder what Mr Martin would make of that S! reference now, suspect he'd repent even a little. That line too about Joe composing every note, often wondered about that, think he maybe just sketched the outline of the tunes and the musicians built on them. Either way, nice start to a hopefully better year than the last

Thank you MD & SS. Its amazing that after all these years, treasures from the archive are still being found and shared.

A lovely start to 2022. Gonna get my head up looking for the good times.
