Maybe. I have the 12 track download but it would be great to get it confirmed. BMC doesn't help that much as it only lists the tracks filmed by the BBC.
From Blackmarket Clash: (another clue)

from dotmusic.com
JOE STRUMMER & THE MESCALEROS
PYRAMID STAGE,
GLASTONBURY
Gig played on Sat 26 Jun 1999

I have just seen the best live set of the weekend. No contest. Joe Strummer, confident enough to play some astonishingly good new material, 'Yala Yala' in particular, picked up this dozing crowd, treated us to a generous smattering of old Clash classics and not only stole the show but fenced it, cashed it in and spent the bloody lot.

A little chubbier (the white T-shirt didn't help), Strummer delivered a few nostalgic speeches about the right to gather at festivals like this, compared Tony Blair to Cliff Richard and led his brilliant new band on a trip through some of recent rock history's neglected gems.

The famous left leg pumped, the spittle gathered in the corner of his mouth, the right had was glued to his temple and he attacked a BBC camera "you can't have a piss these days without them filming ya", but Strummer thrilled us with raw versions of 'London Calling', 'Straight To Hell', and a joyous piano driven 'Rock The Casbah' that rocked the main stage crowd like no one else this weekend.
Excellent! And I take it back BMC a great help. Thanks Equaliser.
If this is true then we now have the complete Glastonbury show!
Just need to know where it fits in the set list. Encore or last track possibly?
Setlist.FM has it as track #6 (first link I sent on this)

Techno D-Day
London Calling
X-Ray Style
(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais
Tony Adams
Straight to Hell
Rock the Casbah
Yalla Yalla
Brand New Cadillac
I Fought the Law
Diggin' the New
Tommy Gun
Bankrobber

Yep and what's worse is Laxman just reminded that I've got the whole set on the Viva Zapata! CD called "Avalon By Bus". :disshame: Just didn't connect the dots. Oh well onwards and upwards. 👍

Anyone up for helping with trying to work out which shows the Lets Rock Again tracks come from? Or perhaps someone knows already?

Was Straight To Hell not the track where Joe (stupidly) attacked the camera man?

I've just matched up the file from Laxman and the one from Equaliser and they are one and the same. So it's definitely from Glastonbury performance.

I will upscale Equaliser's file from the single unless anyone comes forward with a genuine WAV from the cd.

Thanks guys.
Glad to help out!

A few rarities for your consideration that were missed on 001 and 002. You probably have all of these but ....

Studio:
Victory Lane
Guitar Slinger (duet with Brian Setzer)
The Return Of The Blues Cowboy
The Harder They Come (Long Beach Dub All Stars studio version)
Boom N' Bust (featuring Joe Strummer prominently) Masatoshi Nagase
War Cry
MacDougal Street Blues
Diggin' The New Demos with Richard Norris (early direction of X-Ray Style LP)

Low Res Only:
Divorcing Jack
Tunnel of Love Soundtrack

The Remaining "When Pigs Fly" tracks including 'Free At Last'

Live:
1969
Blitzkrieg Bop
Walk On The Wild Side
Guitar Slinger Man (non Brian Setzer song from last tour)
Quarter Pound of Ishen
Sanposuru Harajuku
They are too poor in my opinion to include.

Everything else has already been remastered and readied for this set.

I want to include 1969 and Ishen from the Rockin' Again CD but do not know what show it's from as the CD only states "Live in Japan and the USA - 2001" these are the extras from the Let's Rock Again DVD.

I've also remastered House of Blues,LA 1999 - Acton Town Hall - Streetcore (Instrumentals) - Portland Acoustic 1999 for an EP - Cambridge Folk Festival for another EP.

About 10 maybe 11 discs so far. I've been very busy. I have live version of Straight to Hell which claims to be from Glastonbury 99 but I don't think they played it there so I'm trying to work out where it's from. Just started the artwork today it's a lot of work.
Wow, Marky Clause is coming to town!

I think I have those Let's Rock Again extras saved on YouTube somewhere. I'll see if I can find a match with a labeled show elsewhere.

Just did a scan of both BMC and setlist.fm and neither Ishen nor 1969 turn up in any set from 2001 on either site, so most likely the documentary has the dates wrong and these recordings came from a 2002 show as they were both staples of the 2002 setlists.

Here's the video footage of 1969 posted on youtube by Arnaud Gerardy, who was the video editor for Let's Rock Again:

In the description for the vid he states that the footage was taken in Japan. There were only 3 dates in Japan in 2002 according to BMC: Fukuoka Festival, Asagiri Jam Festival in Kumamoto, and Tokyo Liquidroom.

To my ears, this is not the same performance as can be heard in the audience recording of the Tokyo Liquidroom (

So it would seem the LRA recording of 1969 is from 9/28/02 Fukuoka or 9/29/02 Kumamoto, which is a dead end as far as I know as I don't think those shows have any other known recordings circulating (though I'm not as up on these things as others might be). It's possible there were additional dates in Japan that aren't on BMC as well.

Yeah it's very difficult to determine what show(s) they are from. The cd only states from Japan and the USA though I would agree way more likely to be from 2002 than 2001.

The liquid Rooms show remaster you posted is mine.

I've used two versions of "Sanpo Suru Harajuku" from that gig for this new set. One being the rehearsal for the gig and the 2nd being the live performance. I think the title roughly translates at A walk (stroll) around Harajuku.

Ah, didn't catch that! Nice.

On the various videos Gerardy posted of the LRA material, he specifies whether a song was " shot in several gigs across USA during Joe's last tour" or "shot in Japan during Joe's last ride" (Ishen and 1969 are both described as the latter). I'm willing to take his for word for it, and unless there's a record of them having played more than those three Japan shows in 2002 as listed on BMC, it must have been either Fukuoka Festival or Asagiri Jam Festival.

There's an extant setlist for the 9/28/02 Fukouka show which confirms both tunes were on the setlist that night: https://recordmecca.com/item-archives/t ... -set-list/

Interesting about the translation. I wonder if they just wrote that as a 'tour special' for Japan or whether they had bigger plans for it.

edit: Did a little more digging and found there is a bootleg of apparently pro-shot video called Joe Strummer - On Video Volume One which features among other things an interview and video snippets from the 9/29/02 Asagiri Jam Fest. If anyone has that boot, it may hold the answer.

Some more info on this boot can be found here: http://theultimatebootlegexperience7.bl ... e-one.html

I love the title 'Avalon By Bus' and get the reference. Now I've just got to trace a copy.

Yeah Gotgamegreggy has posted loads of my stuff to his YouTube page. Just hope none of my recent uploads appear on there.

Thanks for your research here appreciated. Would be great if anyone has that boot DVD. But I think those two gigs you mentioned hold the key.

"Sanpo Suru Harajuku" does feel like a one off for those Japanese dates.
