The video is taken from their performance at the Roskilde Festival.
While, regarding Rockscene I remember reading somewhere there was a heavy brawl between the technicians of the Clash and those of Depeche Mode

because it's a french stuff i tried to get in touch directly with the organizer who promoted this online and asked him (do you have the complete video show) and after the released (why did you show something from 83 ? was there a legal problem?)
but never had any answer
which sucks because they focused all their promotion on the clash
we had every right to expect something new

Thanks for reaching out. Bummer that this and Athens have no good footage that has come out yet. There’s still a sliver of hope.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

What a fantastic line up they had. The juxtaposition of Leonard Cohen and the Clash kinda blows mind really.

In the doc they show a still of the band's contract which states they got $100k for their troubles. I wonder if there was something there about filming or future rights? They seem to have footage of most of the other bands, just not the Clash.

Yes! And I wish Joe had written Sleepwalk for him rather than Sinatra. Come to think of it, i can hear him doing a mean Road to Rock and Roll too.
