Disc 2 is getting a lot of replays right now. I forgot, what were the instrumentals for? Possible B sides to singles?

They were the original backing tracks and ideas for Rat Patrol/Combat Rock which were later used by Mick to soundtrack Joe's silent movie Hell W10.

Thanks for the info Marky. Love the organ on RAD. The Cool Confusion instrumental is a lot better than the one with vocals.

Soooo....is there any possibility of getting the usual vocals onto the Cool Confusion alt inst? Wondering what it would sound like?

Not without the stand alone (isolated) vocal track.

I might have go at putting a vocal on the backing track if I find the time one day. Always wondered myself what it would sound like. If we ever have a CR-eet week I will definitely do it.

Your own vocal? I'd go for that. A CR-eet week also sounds phenomenal. And take that which ever way you want.

I believe Inder did this back in the day. It was by far the best version of the song. I don't have it any more.

I love record store day. Joe would have loved record store day. I was fortunate enough to purchase the 101ers re-visited LP back in April as part of RSD 2015. The MC5 seem to always participate with a release of some sort each year. The Black Market Clash 10" practically spawned the idea for record store day way before it was a thing. I wish Mick would do something (anything) to support this event annually with a 7", 10" or 12" or even double 12" (wink wink). Specifically stuff from Rat Patrol or unreleased dub versions from S! Its not as if his dance card is terribly full these days. So c'mon man set your alarm, get behind the mixing desk & let's go. If he needs an idea of where to begin, I'd suggest a 7" with Inoculated City (the full Rat Patrol version) b/w Red Angel Dragnet (Ranking Roger version)
