Marky, thank you! This is quite a collection and even though I have all of it, it's nice to have your version all in one place. Thank you again.

Been spinning it this morning, best quality version I've heard and the extras are great. Thanks again Marky.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Cheers for the feedback mate and always welcome. Of course the dream will always be for a Sony deluxe set reissue with loads of Mick input. I'm also crossing my fingers for a No. 10, Upping St. reissue soon.Heston wrote:Been spinning it this morning, best quality version I've heard and the extras are great. Thanks again Marky.

That was the idea really to round everything up together. I still think there's more in the can than what's been released there must be other takes pre-spanish vocals and sound effects like TV adds and car horns etc. The versions of RP mine was taken from allegedly come from a tape found in RCA's offices?coffeepotman wrote:Marky, thank you! I rescind my earlier qualm about that other guy replacing some of the lower quality generations with CR tracks. It's quite jarring when you're listening to it in your room stoned out of your gourd. Otherwise, sounds great! I still had never heard those Ranking Roger versions, or the instrumentals, which I didn't know existed. What's the story with those?

Yeah this mix is really great Marky. That Overpowered by Funk take has so much more muscle compared to the John's version and you can hear Ellen Foley's vocal a bit more which I quite like actually, I'm surprised Mick wouldn't have included it on his master.

They are on the Essential Clash DVD and soundtrack Joe's silent movie Hell W10, hence my title change.Kory wrote:I rescind my earlier qualm about that other guy replacing some of the lower quality generations with CR tracks. The Rankin' Roger tracks were to released but got scuppered. I don't know if they were from the proposed extra 12'' that was to be included with CR.
There is a red vinyl bootleg 7'' doing the rounds which uses The Beat's "Go Feet" record label.

Thanks KC appreciated. I agree about OBF sounding more solid.KCportland wrote:Yeah this mix is really great Marky.
