That has to be the most exhilarating Clash footage in existence.bmc wrote:MANCHESTER Feb 84 because of Joes rant that can't be found on any boot to that extent. Some of the parole stuff on video but the best has to be the 4 video tracks from Elizabethan ballroom Nov 77.
Top 5 Clash concerts of all time

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I know it's Terry Tour but Kent State from 82 is a great show.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

The biggest disappointment about that footage is that they didn't film the whole gig...or did they and there not telling usmatedog wrote:That has to be the most exhilarating Clash footage in existence.bmc wrote:MANCHESTER Feb 84 because of Joes rant that can't be found on any boot to that extent. Caird Hall, Dundee, January 1980 because that's when The Clash came to me!
Seriously though, I loved every time I went to see them, and some great things on the way through to gigs or on the way back all helped with the experience. Each one is special in it's own way.

All answers here are good except for any mention of Terry Tour

I enjoy the US Festival performance for inane hectoring Joe. You buy, you die! But I'm weird for that shit.

Re: Top 5 Clash concerts of all time
Yeah I always loved Joe's rants. They were present through all the years thankfully, one of my favorite boots is the 1977 St. Albans recording. Right after Pressure Drop, Mick's guitar was having some problems so Joe was having some very enlightening conversation with the audience, consisting of "if you want a riot, go outside and bash the fuzz at the entrance. Suppose you think we'll do it for you, so you can go home to bed."Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Oct 2022, 1:33pmI enjoy the US Festival performance for inane hectoring Joe. You buy, you die!
