Excellent thanks very much Marky. For personal reasons really looking forward to hearing an enhanced recording of this gig.
Also thanks for Brixton. Spent a very enjoyable afternoon yesterday listening to it whilst I was working from home.
Getting paid whilst listening to the Clash doesn't get much better than that during a pandemic

I'm working on the Roundhouse gig from '76. A gig I've remastered twice before. But it's never been heard this good before. I've just blown my own socks off it's so fucking great I'm stunned how good I've got it to sound. Watch this space!!!!!

Another great remaster, Marky. What's the significance of the name "Trouble in Toytown"? Was that a nickname for Bristol? I'm from the Midwestern USA, so not super familiar with UK slang.Marky Dread wrote: ↑19 Aug 2020, 12:56pmAs promised previously...

If you listen to Joe's funny ad-lib in Mag 7 it makes sense. Joe talks about two children's characters Noddy and Big Ears who live in Toytown. They go down to the Stinky Toys disco and they are dressed up as skinheads and then followed by the police.GotGameGreggy wrote: ↑19 Aug 2020, 10:06pmAnother great remaster, Marky. I wonder if they were fans of French punk band the Stinky Toys (who played on the bill at the 100 Club Punk festival in Sept 1976)Marky Dread wrote: ↑20 Aug 2020, 5:17amIf you listen to Joe's funny ad-lib in Mag 7 it makes sense. still have two versions of Bristol, but none of them is nearly so good as your remaster, thank you very much! can't await Roundhouse 1976, as you wrote it must be a (sledge)hammer,

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Got it now. Always love hearing Joe's adlibs, one of the things that makes Clash concerts so fun to listen to. No Clash concert was the same, there was always different setlist, different adlibs, and a different atmosphere. I do enjoy a lot of newer music and artists, but I do feel like most concerts nowadays have become way too corporate and generic, like they're all the same. Really makes me appreciate bands like The Clash that did their own thing.Marky Dread wrote: ↑20 Aug 2020, 5:17amIf you listen to Joe's funny ad-lib in Mag 7 it makes sense.
