Almost got my drive issues sorted out (lost a lot of stuff, but saved most of the good things), so I'm finally able to download these and I'm hitting it like a fiend. So much good stuff to listen to, and thanks again Marky for all you do for the board.

At this point any Marky mix is pretty much the gold standard version of whatever show I've got.

Yes I just realised that is on the master. I think previously I edited in another repeat section of drums to alleviate that fault.

I will repair it again. Post it tomorrow hopefully. Good spot York. ;)

Thanks Marky. She will be delighted!

I've been trying to work out why Protex Blue changed to Big Brother for the night. I noticed 1977 has the counting through of the years to 1984 at the end, so maybe the two things were related?

Janie was always a damaged soul. ;)

I think it was most likely to be that Bernie thing where they were writing about more hard hitting subjects and dropping the " She's Sitting at My Party" type songs. Maybe keeping "1-2 Crush on You" was enough. I love the lyrics to "Protect Blue" and I think it's a very punk sounding tune. It's a shame they didn't follow up with the "Big Brother" idea with a new tune.

Really good sound on this one Marky - very clear vocals and Mick's guitar tone comes through a treat.
Brilliant photo research also, as ever. Thanks

Cheers John. Did you grab the Roundhouse remaster? At last I sorted out that fade up and got better sound.

Cheers CDS those pics I grabbed from Graham's site. It's nice to have pics from the actual show that are good and decent quality.

Seems like the Electric Circus was a right dump. I like Joe's comment at the start "it's a bit psychedelic in 'ere innit" I remember in some color pics of the Buzzcocks you can see the awful 70's wallpaper behind the stage and the crap light show Joe complains about later on.

I certainly did get the Roundhouse thanks, and it's a marked improvement. Way better than the Five Go Mad bootleg.
I think if you stick at this remastering game, you may get the hang of it
I'm getting back into the early Clash shows - 1976/77 - and trying to check what I've missed out on recently - are the remasters you post here also linked to those in the Megalist? Or are they the 'old' versions there?

Nothing in the Megalist are my remasters. The Megalist is not in a good state in my opinion as there are now many links missing. I know Ratty/Flex/Matedog did a lot of work curating it back in the day and I'm grateful for their combined effort. But it's in dire need of a revamp plus most of the shows on there have been brickwalled. With the bass and volume levels boosted.

I will always try to do better. Obviously with time I have got better at this stuff. So I will go back and revisit stuff if I feel I can improve on it. Always go back to the source material if available.
