Thanks John.JohnS wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 8:58amPeople may grumble about why the Clash only ever issued one live compilation, with plenty of pro-recorded/broadcast gigs in the can (eg compared to the Jam who have issued live gigs galore, in various formats, over the years). But take Marky's remasters, call up the relevant pages on BMC for the background info and photos, and digitally at least, we have the best live box set ever.
Big thanks and 21-gun salutes to the passion, devotion and generosity of Marky, Graham and co.

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
As per some of the recent comments, I'm thinking this archive is going to be the Go To place for definitive live Clash. The reworkings have been a noticeable improvement on the many cd-rs I've acquired over the years.
I didn't notice or grab it if you did, but did you ever manage to improve the Colston Hall Bristol 10 June 1980? That would be a challenge with the original so degraded and levels up & down and switching left to right.
Anyway Cheers for what you've done, are doing or will do. :)

Nicked a pair of trousers from Marks & Spencers as a youngster. The woman who caught me asked me why? So I told her my mum couldn't afford school uniform. She took pity on me and let me off. Told my mates at school and one of them mentioned the lyric from Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes" my brother's stealing clothes from Marks & Sparks. It stuck.Sparky wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 1:06pmWorked in the electrical field / industry for many years, nickname kind of stuck with me.Marky Dread wrote: ↑03 Mar 2021, 11:19amCheers Sparky. Thanks for this one, much appreciated Marky.
Is it possible to refresh the link for EC's Peel Sessions on this page? viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11563
I'd love to hear decent sounding versions, there's a lot of rough ones out there!
Cheers, Gimmix.
