Great work as always Marky..you've really opened the sound up on this compared to other versions i've heard.I had this on the 5 Go Mad In The Roundhouse boot cd many years ago and while it was enjoyable the sound was a bit squashed and muffled. It's great to hear these 1976 recordings sounding as good.cheersMarky Dread wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020, 4:51amHere's a nice upgrade of a previous remaster of mine. Cheers mate I appreciate your feedback. Took a lot of work and effort. I had to mix the inbetween banter separate to the tracks in order to bring the levels up. But I was really happy with the results.CCRocker77 wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 3:59amGreat work as always Marky..you've really opened the sound up on this compared to other versions i've heard.I had this on the 5 Go Mad In The Roundhouse boot cd many years ago and while it was enjoyable the sound was a bit squashed and muffled. It's great to hear these 1976 recordings sounding as good.cheersMarky Dread wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020, 4:51amHere's a nice upgrade of a previous remaster of mine. Just a sonic improvement. If you have the previous one the upgrade should be obvious.

It takes a little effort. But if you use those things either side of your head it works best.white man wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 9:41amAh good. I love a bit sonic improvementMarky Dread wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020, 9:12amI have to entice you to buy my goods somehow.

I've finally got round to giving this a listen Marky - great stuff, as ever. Very listenable and nice to revisit How Can I Understand the Flies and Deadly Serious again. I only have those on the Roundhouse show I think, from over a year earlier. They sit in the set alongside the other familiar gems quite well, they'd clearly bashed them into shape by this stage and I can imagine them being recorded and issued somewhere.
Nice to see them blasting out 1-2 Crush On You too. An encore presumably but still quite a brave choice for 1977?

Definitely enjoying the remaster, Marky. Very worthwhile document of the era. I can’t agree with the always estimable JohnS. this time, however. The encore sounds awful, with Joe putting on his most exaggerated yobbo voice to contextualize the song (or make it palatable to the punk audience)! His cameo on the recorded version is more effective toward that end.

Cheers John. I really dig "How Can I Understand the Flies" shame they dropped it.JohnS wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 2:36pmI've finally got round to giving this a listen Marky - great stuff, as ever. Cheers Teddy. Yes I agree Joe is in full on punk mode. The song obviously being recorded a couple of years later after the furore of punk has died down definitely benefited from a more refined approach.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑01 May 2020, 4:27pmDefinitely enjoying the remaster, Marky. Well you were only saying it was good to hear it as an encore in '76. Not necessarily in '76 mode.
So you are both right.
