Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Thanks Marky, great stuff. I still think the band should sign you up for a series of official releases.

Listening to the Palladium gig now, nice work Marky.
ps Just how great is the end of Clampdown on this? Which they'd added that coda to the recording rather than the insipid way it fizzles out on the album.

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
After Years of silent reading in this Forum -my english Just is not Good enough to be witty about bernard rhodes and Cut the crap- i registered to thank you for this amazing work you Put into this.listening to this brings back the thrill i felt when i discovered the clash with fhte which i got from a bargain bin in my early Teens. I am a bit picky about sound quality so most of the megalist is Not that enjoyable for me.your work makes it sound fantastic.
Apart from that it shows what a joke it is that sony and tc have not released a proper live Album from their Prime. The material worth releasing is definately There.energy-wise and Sound-wise.
After all the asskissing let me request two things:
Keep em coming&
Can you maybe post your previous stuff in here too, to make this a MD-mega thread? I probably missed something as i lurked in here not too Regularily.
All the best from germany.

Thanks for all these Marky! I wish I was thirsty enough (as the kids say) to copy the Amsterdam CD's (with all 25 songs) that Sony sent Gerry straight away, but who knew the fucker was going to go croak on us.

Yeah, the bastid, how dare he! (RIP, Gerry). Teddy, did he get them from Sony/CBS or Mick? Who do you think holds the masters?TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑23 Sep 2017, 7:29pmThanks for all these Marky! Marky, I've drooled on before about how good the artwork is for your stuff - and it's as brilliant as ever with this batch. Appropriate photos/ typography for the contents, often images I've never seen before, and in great quality.
Aren't those photos on the Amsterdam show from the actual gig? I've seen some very similar with positive ID that's where they're from.
I remember the thrill of when the soundboard selection surfaced a few years ago - we'd had the 6-song(?) sampler for a while and it was maddening to know the whole gig had been recorded and mixed so well, so to get the longer version was fantastic - I still have my sonnyburnit version on CDR. It was like 'FHTE - The Sequel'. A really nice snapshot of the Clash in 1981, playing a blinding gig of songs old and new, and in superb sound quality.
I'm clearing some storage space on my Macbook and will download all of your live shows ASAP!!
And - yes, tantalising to hear from TeddyB that the full 25-track soundboard exists and is out there somewhere.... and nearly got to be passed around. Ah well, enjoy what we have.
