I scrapped it a handful of times but I could hear there was something pretty good under all the distortion. I don't give up easy.

Had a listen tonight, what a great 1981 show. If only we had this on FM soundboard rather than that Bonds gig. Nice work, Marky.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Thanks again! Marky's happening remaster here exposes a bit of clubfooted-rhythm-section disease. Paul's rubbery and too well-defined bass sound and Terry's, well, rock drumming. It's really something how much better Paul sounds these days with Damon's bands. The bass run between the intro and body of Wrong 'Em Boyo here, not so much.
Of course, those issues probably sounded better in the room than exposed on tape!

I agree with all the above and unusally I dislike Mick's guitar sound on this show. It sounds almost metallic at times. Of course this may be down to the venue.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑02 Mar 2019, 5:01pmThanks again! Marky's happening remaster here exposes a bit of clubfooted-rhythm-section disease. Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Haven't heard the show yet but Joe's best live vocals were always in 1982. Was it the fixed teeth or singing lessons? It's just a shame Terry came back as he really got his shit together.Marky Dread wrote: ↑02 Mar 2019, 10:26pmYeah he does and he's in playful mood.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑02 Mar 2019, 10:23pmYeah, that too. Many thanks for the Bronco concert, I really like the front cover, in the typical pose of the sixties bands
