Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Yeah maybe we could have an IMCT YouTube channel and we can all get rich.
So much for my first post.
I'm going to be posting up my remasters here so feel free to download them please don't re-post elsewhere. Please do listen and then post up thoughts and comments about the mix/shows etc. Don't just grab and run as these things take a lot of time and effort on my part and are a labour of love.
Thanks,
Marky
I spend hours of my time on these and I bet it takes minutes to put them up on YouTube in some crappy bit rate.

This "GotGameGreggy" has a page full of material taken here and there, all of course at a low bitrate, on the torrent is in better quality (but not like that of MD). The idea of a YouTube channel is not bad, especially if it serves to repay the time and commitment....

Actually seeing the beautiful MD covers is a little annoying.

Yep I'm happy for fans to get this stuff for free. But the guy hasn't done any work at all. Could of left a message here and contributed to the discussion. The reason for me doing all this work is for people to not get ripped off by buying expensive bootlegs etc. Put the stuff out there in the best quality and sound possible I can and the band can be heard and represented in a more positive way.Red Angel wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 10:53amThis "GotGameGreggy" has a page full of material taken here and there, all of course at a low bitrate, on the torrent is in better quality (but not like that of MD). Maybe the guy can send us the Streetcore demos by way of apology.

I have left a couple of comments on his YT channel and made my feelings known. He has said sorry.

Good, he seems a nice chap and I don't think he meant any real harm, but he could so easily have asked your permission. I have to admit I listen to his channel a lot just for the ease of access (can easily play shows through my tv rather than linking a laptop to it), despite the inevitible lesser quality.Marky Dread wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 11:46amI have left a couple of comments on his YT channel and made my feelings known. Yeah I've asked him to remove the T.R.A C. demos only. I've said I'm happy with him using the remasters if he gives us a couple of weeks here first and let's people know there are flac version here. He seems decent enough.Heston wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019, 4:53pmGood, he seems a nice chap and I don't think he meant any real harm, but he could so easily have asked your permission. I don't like small bit rate stuff after I've spent so long remastering. But how people listen to stuff is up to them as convenience. I only do this stuff to stop fans being ripped off. The recent upload cost me a lot of money buying the Japanese bootleg so others don't have to. Now my remaster sounds better and keeps the file in a good state and not brickwalled like the source. The bootleg won't get played again.

Someone has posted some MD artwork over at Dime to go with a version of Hammersmith Palais 1980

That artwork sounds nice.
I wonder if the HP 80 is my master or an upgrade.
