You better shut the gates of the West then.

Too late, they're on sheep skates.
Who pfaffed the pfaff? Who got pfaffed tonight?
Re: Marky Dread Remasters
I understand all points of view, but I don't like those who take without thanking and respecting the work of others. This is a general reasoning and so I behave on the web. Nothing special just a little respect, obviously I don't want to give lessons to anyone.

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
I've decided from here on I'm only going to share stuff privately. I spend a lot of my time working on these remasters. It's all my effort on the sound and artwork etc. It's My money being spent on bootlegs and software etc.
I'll let folk know when I've something new and they will get a link via PMs.

That seems fair enough. Pity it has to be that way though.Marky Dread wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 3:21pmI've decided from here on I'm only going to share stuff privately. Sad it has come to this but your decision mate. Count me in for any of those PMs.Marky Dread wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 3:21pmI've decided from here on I'm only going to share stuff privately. There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

It's anarchy on the web. Music and art has no value, just take what ever you find and do what ever you want with it. Sorry it has come to this Marky
Re: Marky Dread Remasters
I'm absolutely right behind you with this Marky. I've seen similar scenarios at other music forums where some exceptionally skilful - and generous - fans share upgrades and exclusive stuff, only to see it shared indiscriminately, and even bootlegged on factory-pressed discs. They quite rightly get angry and reluctant to continue. The world of 'rarities/ bootlegs' has definitely moved into a new era.Marky Dread wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 3:21pmI've decided from here on I'm only going to share stuff privately. But if you're ready to shut up shop that's fine with me also. You've worked wonders for years here, tirelessly. The audio and artwork you produce is second to none and I'm happy to have filled up my hard-drives and USB sticks with it all

It's a damned shame this has to happen, but you are totally justified in doing so. Bootleggers scamming people with your work is wrong on many levels.Marky Dread wrote: ↑21 Nov 2019, 3:21pmI've decided from here on I'm only going to share stuff privately. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop

I am glad you are doing what works for you. It is an amazing labour of love on your part, and if other people's actions undermine that and ruin your enjoyment then clearly that's no good, so fair play to you.
On a completely separate subject, could someone tell me how to set up a Youtube account?

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
It is sad to be forced to make these decisions and I hope it will work. Personally, I ask you only to continue to give us the fruit of your passion. I have also seen similar situations in other places and it has happened to me too, the worst thing is to see your work republished elsewhere with others who take thanks in your place, horrendous. Your every decision is justified in one direction or another, but that of an IMCT YouTube channel would be a good solution.

Re: Marky Dread Remasters
Agree with all of the above, but we need to remember that some people are freely sharing stuff out there without the slightest knowledge of where it has come from or how much time and money has been put into it by someone else.
However, those that are doing so in full knowledge should at the very least ask permission and acknowledge the owner.
And for those that are selling it
Speaking of Ebay. This is being sold by a record shop
