I thought you used to enjoy running. ;)
LOL. Maybe I won't set one up after all.
Yeah maybe there are enough Kajagoogoo YouTube accounts already. ;)
Limahl is playing at an 80s festival just down the road from us next Summer. I think we'll be going, it was a good laugh this year. I'd ask him for his autograph but I'm ... ...
When I was doing my sums degree at the Dundee Institute of Technology, as it was then, the big rumour in the city was that ex-pop star Limahl was studying game development there (something it's good at ever since Lemmings). My wee lad had got to hear this rumour and was almost demanding that I get his autograph. Trying to talk reason when I told him he wasn't really at the Uni, Rob replied, "It's because you don't like Kajagoogoo, isn't it? If Joe Strummer was there you'd get his autograph." There was a certain element of truth in his words, even though based on a falacy.
Brilliant. Reminds me a bit of how when I was at school, 5th (final) year we had a day out to Lancaster University for some English Lit/ Shakespeare 'workshop' and the day before, the Clash had played there (Jan 23rd 1980, according to blackmarketclash)
Me and my mates wandered around the college campus in a state of excitement wondering if we'd see the band anywhere - as if they'd stick around the next day! Sightseeing on a redbrick university campus!

I'm amazed that we have people on here who were still at School in the 80's. And that someone on here has a degree in mathematics
Think I just expect everyone to be like me :shifty:

I left school in 1980. White Man left school in 1920.

I should probably add there were not that many ticks against my name in the school register that year.

I'm going to piss you off even more, but during a period of part unemployment/part running the local Foodbank, I did a History degree through OU and now have an honours in that too - better than my ordinary maths degree. The history I did for fun without any pressure to succeed.

I agree with the s! I met a namesake who was a 'Math' teacher from Boston and he said, "What do you teach?" I replied, "More than you mate, we do maths!"

Aye, but in my school uniform. Fought a thousand battles but was always home for me tea.
