The Aus/NZ 82 shows are weirdly underrated — they're much better than the Hong Kong/Japan dates IMO. Tops really swings, too.

Too bad how it all fell apart so quickly afterwards.

Weirdly enough i was just about to write something along those lines .. The Clash did sound on top form on this tour even Topper sounded great also thought Joe's voice sounded great too but obviously something went wrong between the March and May of 1982 as we hear on the Lochem Festival bootleg which i still have a soft spot for seeing as it was the first Clash bootleg i ever heard.

Cheers Marky. Came across CC by accident a few days ago. BTW i'm from the North where there are no soft lads. Except the one that does the weather on BBC Look North. And he's Welsh.

It was a dig at Heston and BitterTom who said the original mix was "weedy".
