Some interesting stuff there. I don't know if BMC has this info on the October 15, 1976 show:crashtheparty wrote: ↑05 Nov 2021, 9:57amNoticed that Bernie is selling some Clash items. See lots 40-48.

If money were not an issue, I would definitely buy a few of these. This might be my favorite (though I've seen it before):
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The band never played the carnival benefit. Bernie pulled them out.
Great poster though which I can't recall seeing before.

Indeed, but in keeping with other similar items over the last couple of years. Personally I could never part with that kind of cash for a poster. Would love to know who does though.Sparky wrote: ↑05 Nov 2021, 11:15amWow, looking at some pretty big dollar amounts here IMO.crashtheparty wrote: ↑05 Nov 2021, 9:57amNoticed that Bernie is selling some Clash items. I would agree with you on that, if I was fortunate to have any of those, I'd never put them up for sale either.crashtheparty wrote: ↑05 Nov 2021, 7:13pmIndeed, but in keeping with other similar items over the last couple of years. If you say that you hate brie
I'll be here till Britain's free
So you got to tell me, gents
Should we go to war with France?

Re: Bernie's book
Just got a response from Bernard R.
He included a snippet from an NME article where Keith Levene talks about Rhodes' importance. I'm definitely approaching this with sincerity as I do respect Bernie/Bernard. I sent him the amazon and bookdepository links. My health is ok and I’m about to start a fresh adventure. Where did you see this information…..
Meantime I’ve attached an item sent to me recently from the past I’d like to share; see it as a case study of my work. Shall let you know of the new project soon….
Be well,

Sounds like he's still looking for validation of his role in early UK punk.matedog wrote: ↑08 Nov 2021, 5:09pmJust got a response from Bernard R.He included a snippet from an NME article where Keith Levene talks about Rhodes' importance.
