He’s actually responded to the few emails I’ve sent him over the years. Never particularly straightforwardly, but he does respond.

That supposed trilogy of novels is the only thing that keeps me from checking out prematurely. Goddammit, Bernie, you're kinda sorta keeping me alive. More or less like the Clash in 1985.

His publisher's page still has zilcho about it, so my left nut remains in the vault of a Swiss bank.
