Merrie England is a grower on me, too, definitely. As for the Generation Sex gig at the Roxy the other night, here it is:

Can't beat that signature Cook and Jones sound....
Cookie is awesome like mate, here are the other 2 songs if you have facebook access
Would have been great gig to be at. So the only Pistols stuff they do is the stuff credited to Cook / Jones off Swindle.
Looks like it. Don't know whether that's Billy Idols choice or C&J or all of them. What i do know is watching this song here makes me wonder how the hell i never got to be a musician and Tony James did.

Come on you know it would've taken you years to learn that intricate bass line. ;)

Did you ever think – Paul Simonon's a Rock God
and he shouldn't demean himself
...hanging out with the likes of
Damon Albarn?

Did you think that Damon could've picked any bass player he wanted but he chose Paul?

You should be able to see the doctor for that.

Probably won't be a popular opinion based on some of the feedback I've read from the first two singles released but this album upon first listen evokes a sequel to combat rock (maybe rat patrol) by way of parklife... combat rock's more dubby, moody, atmospheric stuff, nothing like rock the casbah on here but paul's bass & tony's drums are the real stars here... along with Visconti's production. not an easy listen, it's not very upbeat but not depressing either, very british.
I'm liking this album more and more with every listen.

I like the single which is all I've heard so far. It's a slow burner but not bad.

Mick’s advice was for them to go for it, but not to do anything John sang.

And they stuck to that advice for precisely one gig - and I liked that idea. Now total rubbish...what are they thinking...?

Wise advice I'd say. It's great they got this together and they are having fun but they really should leave the "Bollocks" material alone.
